Animals & Us series: three films for the EUP AH&W

A series of three films, produced for the European Partnership on Animal Health and Welfare (EUP AH&W) by BBC StoryWorks Commercial Productions, explores the connections between animals, humans, and the environments we share and how we can help shape these relationships.

Animals and humans share a deep and complex connection, but how does this interdependence shape global health? The impact of animals and their ecosystems on communities worldwide is significant, influencing food supplies and medicine. At the same time, this relationship is evolving due to climate change and growing human populations.

As part of the Animals & Us series, three films were produced for the EUP AH&W to highlighthow the Partnership’s transnational and interdisciplinary research contributes to animal health and welfare. The series features ongoing projects in Italy, Norway, and Belgium, among other inspiring stories.

Discover the stories that reveal the invisible links between animal, human, and environmental health, and their direct impact on daily life.

Why One Health is Your Health - One Health Festival

European Partnership on Animal Health and Welfare (EUP AH&W), European Partnership on One Health Antimicrobial Resistance (EUP OHAMR) and International Centre for Antimicrobial Resistance Solutions (ICARS) will be part together of the One Health Festival, organised around the One Health Summit, presenting the webinar Why One Health is Your Health: Benefits of a One Health Approach to tackle antimicrobial resistance for Humans, Animals, Nature, and Beyond.

This webinar will explore:

Why does a One Health approach matter and what does it mean for our everyday lives?

How are we turning One Health principles into effective action?

One Health approach has been embedded in EU policies. In addition, the European Commission has launched two major, multi-million European research and innovation initiatives addressing one of our most complex global health challenges – the European Partnership on One Health AMR (EUP OHAMR) and the European Partnership on Animal Health and Welfare (EUP AH&W). The International Centre for Antimicrobial Resistance Solutions (ICARS) is a partner in the EUP OHAMR, bringing experience in testing AMR solutions in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs) to enable evidence-based policies and informed global action.

Research and innovation are cornerstones in our work to tackle AMR. This event will show how One Health improves health for people, animals and nature and why One Health is about everyone’s health!
